Sylvia Kapp 1970-2013

Graduates from the DClinPsych at UEL would like to remember our friend Sylvia Kapp who we lost on the 9th November 2013, after living with cancer for three years. We met Sylvia first on our training in Clinical Psychology, in 2001 and soon learned how talented she was in this area - a great thinker, avid learner and an articulate and compassionate therapist and friend. Sylvia was a remarkable woman who always made the most of life, continuing to make time for family, friends and new experiences until she was physically unable to do so. Music was always a very important part of Sylvia’s life – she was the leader of an orchestra and a talented violinist, and enjoyed listening to a wide range of classical and modern music. Sylvia requested that donations be made rather than flowers, and we have decided that donations to Youth Music make sense as a tribute to Sylvia in respect of her love for music, her desire to help others and her dedication to engage fully in life. Although this dedication page has been set up by her friends from Clinical Psychology training, donations from others that wish to celebrate Sylvia’s life and love of music are of course very welcome to add their own message and make a donation. We will miss certainly miss you, Sylvia.
